First take some time to study the concept behind the graphic design of \u00e2\u20ac\u0153<a href=\"http:\/\/www.btinternet.com\/~smallritual\/section4\/urbanquarter.html\">this is not a church<\/a>\u00e2\u20ac\u009d by Steve Collins. <\/p>\n<p>This is a terrific \u00e2\u20ac\u0153visual metaphor\u00e2\u20ac\u009d that effectively teaches a concept. The outline refers to Dunbar\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s rule of 150, which I alluded to in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.alban.org\/bookdetails.aspx?id=694 \">The Hidden Lives of Congregations<\/a>. One of the concepts I think is important to remember is that a congregation is a type of \u00e2\u20ac\u0153community of faith\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and has to be understood and developed as such. Collins challenges us to consider how we may need to understand the concept of \u00e2\u20ac\u0153community\u00e2\u20ac\u009d related to a church (congregation). <\/p>\n<p>The rest of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.btinternet.com\/~smallritual\/index.html \">Small Ritual<\/a> site is well worth exploring.
